Dr. Yousuf treats patients of all ages, from babies to older adults. Most commonly people come in with complaints of pain, such as headaches (including migraines and jaw issues), neck and back pain, as well as problems in the arms and legs such as carpal tunnel syndrome, knee and hip pain, etc. These problems can be chronic or related to sports injuries, car accidents and other traumas. Osteopathic care can help all medical concerns and lead to overall wellness. It is useful for respiratory concerns like asthma, circulation, digestion (such as heartburn), sleep and chronic issues like fatigue and rheumatologic conditions. Osteopathy is gentle enough for babies, particularly useful after difficult births, and for pregnant and nursing women who wish to avoid medications as well as older adults who prefer body treatment without strong forces. As Osteopathy involves a truly holistic approach, it supports the body’s ability to self-regulate by restoring its normal structure and function. Therefore, Osteopathic Manipulation can be helpful in a wide range of health issues.
