Dr. Tazia Sardar earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree from Stony Brook University, NY, USA. She completed her undergraduate studies, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science, with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Stony Brook University as well.
Throughout her clinical experiences, Dr. Tazia gained exposure to a wide array of patient populations including inpatient and outpatient orthopedics, acute care, ICU, outpatient neurology, geriatrics, sports injury rehabilitation, and post-operative spine, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle replacements rehabilitations.
Dr. Tazia Sardar specializes in correcting muscle imbalances, postural alignment, and body mechanics to facilitate full recovery utilizing manual therapy techniques such as muscle energy, spinal mobilization/manipulation, Positional Release Technique( strain-counterstrain), and myofascial release, and prescriptive exercises. She utilizes both her passion for manual therapy as well as dynamic functional training programs in concert with all the modern technologies and therapeutic modalities at her disposal in the treatment of all her patients.
She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She believes improvement, promotion, and contribution to the profession of physical therapy are essential for its progress and development through this ever changing health care field.
